Property Description for 98 Park Terrace East, 1-D

STUDIO LIVING PERFECTED This gracious Mezzanine level home sits high above a sleepy tree-lined street offering privacy from passers-by and stunning afternoon light. This is possibly the largest studio in Inwood with the added bonus of custom storage throughout. The result is a sophisticated home that feels like a generous one bedroom with room to entertain and live without compromise. The main living space is 18 ft by nearly 14 ft, with 2 exposures and a brilliantly designed Murphy bed/storage unit that has an integrated desk and overhead lighting for night-time reading. Even with the bed open, there is ample room for a full living room set up and dining table with no need to juggle furniture. The large, windowed kitchen has been smartly renovated with shaker-style cabinetry to the ceiling, granite counters and back splash, recessed lighting, full-sized stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, plus a dining counter with open shelving above. The entry Gallery houses a wonderful built-in cabinet offering upper and lower storage, a display area for your treasures and also serves as a welcoming transition from the entryway to the broader living space. The fully renovated bathroom boasts a built-in 5 ft marble-top dresser in the adjacent dressing room. You will not “want” for storage in this home. It’s both abundant and tasteful! Additional details include 3 large closets, hardwood floors, recessed lighting and graceful Deco arches separating the rooms adding a touch of understated elegance. Quietly situated in The Daniel, one of Inwood's loveliest, well-run Co-operatives. Residents here enjoy a live-in Super, central laundry, bike storage and flexible board policies including up to 90% financing. Pets are also welcome! Located near the A express and 1 local trains, BxM1 express bus, Metro-North Hudson Line, shopping, restaurants, wine bars and glorious Inwood Hill Park which offers hiking trails, running paths, ball fields, dog runs, kayaking and plenty of green space for picnics, relaxing, enjoying free outdoor summer concerts or evening yoga. Nearby Isham Park is home to a Saturday Green Market as well. Community residents have access to Columbia University's Lawrence A. Wien Stadium track and can purchase memberships at The Dick Savitt Tennis Center without sponsorship by current members. HOME should be a sanctuary; a peaceful retreat that is yours alone, full of beauty and privacy. Inwood’s Park Terrace section is like nowhere else in Manhattan. And this is a one-of-a-kind gem.

Inwood | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Inwood isn’t at all like those trendy acronymed neighborhoods further downtown and it doesn’t quite have a notable claim to fame but there is something especially charming about this predominantly Dominican neighborhood. It’s family-oriented with mom and pop shops, hookah bars, sports facilities, recreational venues and ethhnic eateries.

Inwood is the northernmost neighborhood of Manhattan. Any further north and you’ll be in the Bronx. It’s bounded by The Harlem River, which snakes around to its east and north side, The Hudson River and Inwood Hill Park to the west, and Fort George, an enclave of Washington Heights, to the south.

Rivers, hills and green spaces surround the neighborhood and the building height restrictions give it a suburban feel even though it's still part of the borough of Manhattan. Inwood, it’s the best of both worlds.
