Welcome to this perfect little gem in one of Tudor City's finest pre-war buildings-an updated tiny studio with very low monthly carrying costs that makes city living both stylish and affordable.
This sunny, cheerful home packs a lot into a small footprint: a windowed efficiency kitchen, a classic pre-war bathroom with tub and shower, and a smartly placed closet to keep everything organized. It's an ideal choice for a starter apartment, pied-à-terre, or weekday crash pad.
Life at The Cloister comes with all the perks: a full-time doorman, concierge, resident superintendent, bike room, storage rentals, and laundry room. The co-op is pet-friendly and allows pied-à-terre, subletting, guarantors, and co-purchasers-making ownership flexible and accessible.
Tucked away in the heart of Tudor City's charming historic district, you'll enjoy a serene escape just moments from the United Nations and Grand Central Station. Two peaceful neighborhood parks are right nearby, and the Ford Foundation's glass-enclosed garden and rotating art exhibitions are just across the street. Plus, great dining, shopping, and transportation are all within easy reach!
Come see why this bright little studio might be your perfect piece of Manhattan!
Quick Profile
Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.
But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.
Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.
Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.
In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
