Property Description for 310 East 46th Street, 22-U

Welcome to this elegantly renovated, oversized one bedroom perfectly perched on a high floor in the heart of Turtle Bay. You will be wowed by the south-facing, open skyline views, including those of the iconic Chrysler Building, One Vanderbilt, Tudor City and a peek of the East River. All this through a wall of gorgeous arched greenhouse windows with custom electric solar shades. With soaring 12' ft beamed ceilings, the living / dining area is loft-like and expansive, leaving ample room for a home office should you require. The chef's kitchen has white lacquer European cabinets, caesar stone countertops, Wolfgang opera glass tile backsplash, pinin grey tiled flooring, GE Profile stainless steel stove and dishwasher and a Fisher & Paykel bottom. Just off the kitchen, there is a massive shelved walk in pantry measuring approximately 10' × 4?, perfect for your storage needs. With access via both the living space and the primary bedroom, the luxurious spa bathroom is brilliantly decorated with a white sand quartz vanity top, Stonepeak Materia platinum-honed floor tiles, a Delta Vero shower body, and Giagni chrome faucets. The primary bedroom is equally as generous as the great room, with a lovely nook by the window for accommodating either a workstation or reading chair. The room is highlighted by a large customized walk-in closet to keep you organized. The bedroom also has a custom blackout curtain for your preference. Rounding out this lovely home is a dual zoned heating / cooling system, pristine solid oak floors throughout, lovely wooden shelving units, and a massive coat closet. The building offers a classic Art Deco lobby with a 24-hour doorman, live-in super, laundry on most floors, a roof deck, bike room, storage lockers (for rent), a garage, and meeting room. Turtle Bay Towers is a flexible condop that welcomes diplomats, and is pet friendly. Located close to both Grand Central Terminal & the United Nations with excellent options for public transportation, Michelin-starred restaurants and just one block from the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, which hosts a year round Greenmarket every Wednesday.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
