Property Description for 235 East 55th Street, 36-B

Perfectly positioned on the 36th floor of The Capri, this renovated corner one-bedroom offers the kind of light, views, and privacy that remain incredibly hard to find at this price point in today's market. With sweeping north and west exposures, floor-to-ceiling windows frame open skyline views stretching to Central Park, while natural light pours into every room throughout the day.

The oversized living and dining area feels both airy and functional, with plenty of space to comfortably entertain, work from home, or simply enjoy the view. Wide-plank maple flooring and clean, contemporary finishes give the apartment a calm and modern feel.

The windowed kitchen is sleek and efficient, featuring modern cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, excellent storage, and a streamlined design that works beautifully for everyday living.

The bedroom enjoys open northern exposures and exceptional closet space, while the marble bathroom is finished with Kohler fixtures and a deep soaking tub for a more elevated, spa-like feel.

With only three residences on the floor, 36B offers a level of quiet and privacy rarely found in larger condominium buildings. Laundry is conveniently located on the same floor.

Residents of The Capri enjoy full-service living with a 24-hour doorman and live-in superintendent, all in a central Midtown East location that continues to appeal to both primary residents and investors alike. Moments from multiple subway lines, Central Park, Whole Foods, Equinox, SoulCycle, and some of the city's best dining and shopping, this is an easy, turnkey option for anyone looking for light, views, and value in a full-service condominium.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
