Property Description for 200 East 57th Street, 4-N

This beautifully proportioned 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom residence offers approximately 1,500 square feet of sophisticated, versatile living space - with the rare and seamless flexibility to create a true 3-bedroom home. Set back from the street within a quiet, recessed portion of the building, the home immediately feels exceptionally serene and private - a rare luxury in the city.

A gracious entry foyer welcomes you into an expansive layout designed for both comfortable living and elegant entertaining. The two oversized bedrooms, each nearly 18 feet in length, are thoughtfully positioned on opposite sides of the apartment for maximum privacy. The primary suite features two spacious walk-in closets and a beautifully appointed en-suite marble bathroom complete with a glass-enclosed shower and soaking tub.

For buyers seeking additional flexibility, the separate dining alcove can easily be transformed into a third bedroom, nursery, guest room, or home office without compromising the flow of the main living area. This potential third bedroom benefits from its own window and dedicated closet space, allowing for a natural and functional conversion.

The chef's kitchen is outfitted with custom Omega cabinetry in a rich hazelnut glaze, black chocolate granite countertops, a Travertine tile backsplash, and premium appliances: a Sub-Zero refrigerator, GE range, and a double-drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher.

Additional features include central air conditioning, multiple walk-in closets and abundant storage throughout, elegant marble flooring, and a dedicated laundry/storage room with an updated washer and dryer. A second full marble bathroom completes this exceptional layout.

Located in the heart of Midtown East, 200 East 57th Street is a premier, full-service cooperative. Residents enjoy white-glove service with a 24-hour doorman and concierge, a beautifully landscaped rooftop terrace, a fitness center, an elegant garden lobby, bike storage, and an on-site parking garage with priority resident parking. The building is moments from Whole Foods, Bloomingdale's, world-class dining, luxury shopping, Central Park, and major transportation lines.

Co-op Highlights:
Maintenance: Incredibly inclusive-covers all utilities (electricity, gas, cable, and high-speed internet).
Financing: Permitted up to 65%.
Flip Tax: 2% total. Seller is offering to cover 1% of the flip tax at closing.

Turtle Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.

But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.

Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.

Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.

In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
