A quiet and thoughtfully designed one-bedroom residence at 211 East 51st Street, a boutique condominium conversion completed in 2008 by HJ Development and designed by internationally acclaimed designer Shamir Shah. This spacious home offers a refined blend of comfort, functionality, and mid-century modern style, with the added convenience of a private washer/dryer.
The open living space is enhanced by an extended kitchen island with breakfast bar seating and generous storage, while customized closets and custom adjustable wood blinds throughout add to the home's functionality. The separate kitchen features Cyprus limestone flooring, marble countertops, white oak cabinetry, and Bosch and Northland appliances. The bedroom comfortably accommodates a queen-size bed, nightstands, and a dedicated workspace, with two frosted-glass pocket doors connecting it to the living room while allowing natural light to flow through. The bathroom is finished with Italian marble, blue-gray clay tile, and a mirrored storage vanity with a walk-in shower.
Residents of 211 East 51st Street enjoy a 24-hour attended lobby, superintendent services, and fitness center. Ideally situated near the 6, E, and M subway lines, the building is surrounded by an array of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and everyday conveniences.
One of the neighborhood's most unique amenities is right outside the building: award-winning Greenacre Park, a beautifully landscaped urban oasis featuring a 25-foot waterfall, seasonal outdoor café, mature trees, and abundant seating. The residence is offered furnished or unfurnished. Please note that short-term leases are not permitted and pets are not permitted for renters.

Quick Profile
Turtle Bay is best known for hosting the world’s dignitaries at United Nations once a year as the world institution sits on the eastern edge of the neighborhood along the East River.
But this midtown location offers a lot more, a bustling neighborhood teeming with high-rise apartment buildings and an easy walk to the Midtown business district.
Over the past two decades, developers have assembled almost every corner development site along Second Avenue and have built straight up. Not much left to assemble.
Some of the more glamorous, and of course most expensive, addresses are in close proximity to the United Nations. Trump World Tower, which caused a big stir with area residents, in particular, Walter Cronkite, when it was built sits just north of the United Nations Grounds.
In contrast to the proliferation of the residential highrise, Turtle Bay does have some lovely tree-lined streets between the avenues. In particular, Turtle Bay Gardens, which fronts both 48th Street and 49th Street between Third and Second Avenue has always been a haven for the rich and famous.
