Property Description for 78 Harman Street, TWNHS

Available for immediate occupancy. Closings have commenced.

78 Harman Street offers a boutique collection of eight residences shaped by thoughtful design and understated luxury. Tucked along a quiet, tree-lined block in Bushwick, it introduces a calm, modern sensibility to the neighborhood's vibrant character.

For those who crave space, light, and a genuine connection to the outdoors; this duplex is the one.

Spanning 1,440 square feet of interior living across two floors plus a private 1,107 square foot garden, residence 1B at 78 Harman Street is a rare urban retreat.

East-facing orientation means bright morning light through oversized windows, playing beautifully off the warm oak hardwood floors. The generous kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel Bosch appliances, striking White Calcutta Quartz countertops, and custom cabinetry. Bathrooms are finished with the same level of care; marble-clad walls, floating vanities, and brushed brass hardware accent the space.

The lower level features a dramatic light well anchored by a staircase that leads directly to the private garden -a seamless indoor / outdoor flow that sets this home apart from anything else in the neighborhood.

A full-size, vented washer/dryer sits in-unit, and exceptional storage throughout keeps the home serene and organized. Complete the package with access to the building's shared rooftop deck with panoramic views of Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.

Just moments from Maria Hernandez Park, 78 Harman is centrally located with easy access to some of Bushwick's most popular restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, with transportation accessible via the M train at Central Avenue and the J train at Kosciuszko Street.

Note, the taxes listed are for primary residents only. Monthly taxes for pied-a-terre or LLC buyers are $899

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
