Property Description for 34-43 60th Street, 4-D/E

Spectacular City Skyline Views, Gorgeous Sunsets & a Private Terrace Thoughtfully combined and exceptionally spacious, 4DE offers an expansive and flexible layout with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a separate den or library, and a private terrace with spectacular city skyline views and show-stopping sunsets. Every room faces west, filling the apartment with afternoon light and offering sweeping city views and beautiful sunsets throughout the home. The second-largest bedroom enjoys two exposures, facing both west and south. Subletting is permitted, with board approval, after two years of ownership. At the heart of the home is an unusually large living and dining room designed for both everyday living and entertaining. There is ample space for a full formal dining area as well as a generous living room—perfect for hosting dinner parties, holiday gatherings, or simply spreading out and enjoying a large space. The beautifully renovated kitchen is equally impressive, with abundant cabinetry, extensive counter space, a dishwasher, and exceptional storage. There is also plenty of room for a dinette or breakfast table, giving you a second, more casual dining area in addition to the formal dining space. Just off the main living area is a separate room currently used as a library. This versatile space could easily serve as a den, home office, playroom, media room, or whatever best suits your needs. One of the apartment’s most appealing features is the separation of the sleeping areas. The primary bedroom occupies its own private wing on the north side of the apartment, well separated from the other bedrooms by the kitchen, living and dining areas, and den. The result is an unusually private and peaceful primary suite. The additional bedrooms and bathrooms are located in a separate wing, creating excellent privacy and flexibility for family members, guests, or a home office. And then there is the terrace—a private outdoor retreat with room for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or gardening, all against a backdrop of panoramic city views and spectacular sunsets. With its generous proportions, beautifully renovated kitchen, flexible layout, distinct bedroom wings, private outdoor space, abundant natural light, and dramatic skyline views, 4DE is a truly distinctive home with room to live, work, entertain, and grow. Strathmore Arms is a six-story, 82-unit cooperative in Woodside, Queens. Building amenities include a live-in superintendent, elevator service, laundry facilities, garage parking (waitlist), and an interior courtyard for residents to enjoy.

Woodside | Queens

Quick Profile

From Irish enclave to modern day melting pot, Woodside Queens is an affordable working-class neighborhood with a laid-back vibe.

Woodside is bordered by Elmhurst to the east, Astoria to the west, Jackson Heights to the northeast and Long Island City to the south.

According to many residents, one of the perks of living in the neighborhood is the short train commute to Manhattan and Grand Central Station. What Woodside lacks in attractions, it certainly makes up for it with fun bars and pubs, coffee shops, parks, and food spots. Especially the endless variety of ethnic food establishments throughout the neighborhood.

Queens is already the epicenter of ethnic food. So, it’s no surprise that there are many culinary treasures in Woodside. Especially when it comes to Filipino food. Little Manilla, as it's affectionately known as, begins at 63rd Street on Roosevelt Avenue and extends to 71st. You’ll find Filipino markets and restaurants selling everything from comfort food to traditional Filipino ingredients. Make sure you come hungry.

Woodside has always been a melting pot. Irish, Italian and German immigrants flocked to the neighborhood in the early 20th century. In recent years, Asian and Latin immigrants have joined the population.

As of lately, the neighborhood has attracted people looking to get a little more bang for their buck as well as those who have been priced out of nearby areas like Sunnyside and Long Island City. Most Woodside residents rent and a smaller portion of them own.

When it comes to housing stock, you’ll find a little bit of everything in Woodside. Standalone houses, large apartment buildings, towering co-ops and 2 and 3 story detached homes are common.

The neighborhood has not seen an explosion of growth in new and modern construction yet so there are some good deals to be had. The average listed price is $419,000 while the median listed price is $372,000.

Woodside's main commercial artery is Roosevelt Avenue, which has always been a busy thoroughfare. Irish bars, Italian bakeries, mom and pop stores of every type share the commercial space. The rumbling subway passes overhead on the elevated track and adds a little grittiness to it all.
